This place is amazing! Fresh everything. They fill their gyros full of meat. Pita bread was soo fresh and their flavor is wonderful. Our first time trying this place and I truly was wowed. Its soo hard to find a good gyro spot locally all the good food spots are in Chicago. We will come back. My kids and I loved this place! Very Friendly workers as well.

I'd call this restaurant a "Dad" restaurant because my father favors hole in the wall places like this one. There are 10 meal options, all under $10. Options are truly limited but quite cheap. I had the hot dog meal: two hot dogs, a boatload of fries, and a medium drink for $5.15. I was the only person in there for a while but since it's now legitimate lunchtime, there have been a steady stream of people coming in. This isn't MY type of place, but the amount of customers can't be wrong.

Near my work so I thought I would give it a try. Gyros seem like a dish you can't really mess up. The gyro meat was horrible and fries under cooked. Enough said

I've lived in Lombard for three years and just stopped in at Steve's with my parents today. Unreal. The gyros are warm and crisp, the gyro meat is overflowing and the fries are hand cut. The tzatziki sauce is perfect and they give you a heaping serving of it. I am completely in awe. Do yourself a favor and order the gyro plate for yourself, and then for all of your friends. Literally walked to the counter half way through my meal to congratulate the cooks on how incredible it was.

Came here for the first time after trying to this past Memorial Day, of which it was closed. *Note: Restaurant is closed for most major holidays (Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day, etc.)
Hot dog and fries meal is about 2.35 - which is very reasonable. Non-poppy seed bun, hot dog was "pretty good". Doesn't have the special flavor that Gene and Jude's or even Portillo's has - but it's still pretty decent for a decent price especially with fries included.
Cheeseburger was pretty good. I would get it again. Decent sized and also reasonable at less than $4.50.
It's one of these nostalgic little places that's been here years. It's small inside (a few tables in back, standing area counter, and some tables outside) and isn't always going to be tip-top clean. It's a hot dog and hamburger stand after all.
Parking is DICEY. The lot is awkward, confined. Be prepared. Also, in high traffic times, it's best to just exit out behind the restaurant and do a detour to Meyers Rd.
Cash only - come prepared. Most of the food seemed decently priced, though I only tried the hot dog and burger. Most of the reviews say the gyros are pretty good.
I would come again...
